At the Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation, our utmost priority lies in sponsoring children, youth, and the elderly. As an organization, we operate independently without any government support. Instead, we rely on the generous contributions of individual sponsors and companies. Our approach to managing administrative expenses and reserves is grounded in balanced austerity. We strive to maximize the resources allocated directly to sponsored members and projects in the field, while ensuring adequate investments for future needs. By maintaining a prudent financial strategy, we aim to have sufficient resources to promptly address the urgent requirements of sponsored members and their families.

Donation Benefits

Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation was established in 2008 as a non-profit organization (NPO) registered with the Department of Social Development. We are also recognized by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO) under section 18A(1)(a) of the Act. This means that donations made to our organization are eligible for tax deductions, as outlined in section 18A of the Act, subject to certain limitations. Additionally, both donations to and from our organization are exempt from donations tax, as stated in section 56(1)(h) of the Act. We are committed to transparency and ensuring that our donors receive the applicable tax benefits while supporting our mission.

This Is How We Are Making a Difference

Sponsorship of children, youth and the ageing is the highest priority of the Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation. We receive no support from the Government. Our primary means of support comes from individual sponsors and Companies. Our approach to managing administrative expenses and reserves is one of balanced austerity. The organisation seeks to maximize the amount sent to the field for sponsored members and projects while allowing for adequate investment so that we have sufficient resources to respond to the urgent needs of sponsored members and their families
